Milan, March 17th 2010 – The 2010 edition of LUMEN, this year entirely dedicated to the LED & Display world, took place on March 9th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Milan. Great the attendance: over 450 visitors have met 200 operators and technicians of 49 Italian and international companies attending the forum to show their own solutions.
An Encouraging Sign
The event, organized by Assodel-Tecnoimprese, confirms the succes of the previous editions of 2009 (Milan in March and Vicenza in October). A great result which stands as a proof of the strong appeal that LEDs and LED applications have for the electronic market.
A positive sign, considering the difficult period that the Italian electronic companies have experienced and which gives the taste of the vitality and determination of the management as well as the efforts enterprises are performing in order to widen their market.
LEDs and More
New applications and uses of LEDs for industrial environments lighting and design, as well as large displays for applications, E-signage and new types of visual communication, Touch Screen, Intelligent Display and LED Array. These have been the subjects of the two plenary sessions addressed to designers, architects, managers and industrial designers, provided by Os Osram/EBV, Comprel, Bridgelux, Larcet, Sicat Sas, Avago, Disi and Digimax.
Several technical insights and workshop in the afternoon, offered by Wissenlux, Liteq Design, EBV, Special-Ind and Acsel, focusing on Lighting Solutions, Wireless & Lighting and Display.
Good appreciation for CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee) contribution, provided by Daniela Zambelli who answered to technicians and visitors about regulations and laws for LED lighting applications, just before the closing remarks.
A Winning Formula
High satisfaction among the visitors for the community area, where it was possible to test the latest products and solutions at the sponsors demo-booths.
The results confirm the Fortronic Forum winning formula: a one-day event that brings the top players of the sector together and offers specific sessions and many meeting-occasions to promote partnership between the participants.
Moreover, the event has been the background for the second Micro-macro project, promoted by Regione Lombardia with the aim of supporting the internationalization of Italian companies experiences.
