Great success for the first Fortronic International Forum
Great success for the first INTERNATIONAL FORTRONIC FORUM, promoted by Assodel (Italian Association of Electronics Suppliers) and IDEA (Federation of electronic distribution associations) and held in Tunis, on April 15th.
Over 420 attendees, 374 of which were Tunisian companies and operators (EMS, R&D Centers, Local SMEs, designers and technicians), participated to the forum to meet 48 Italian companies in order to create new business opportunities.
The day was opened by the Minister of the Economic Development and International Cooperation of Tunisia, Mr. Mohamed Nouri Jouini, followed by the speeches of Mrs Mongia Khemiri – General Director of FIPA Tunisia – and Mr Hichem Elloumi, Presidentof FEDELEC, who underlined the effectiveness of this type of technological event.
The event was also recorded by the presence of Italian institutions, like Mr. Guy Gazzetta, Head of Capital Equipment, Electronics, Chemistry and Environment Office of ICE – Institute for Foreign Trade – and Mr. Luca Spiniello, Chief Secretary at the Italian Embassy in Tunis. Both insisted on the true interest of the government towards these initiatives whose goal is to relaunch Italian SMEs and their internationalization programs in the Mediterranean Area.
NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR SMEs
The morning conference hosted the contributions of Avago, Fairchild, Infineon, FCI, RoalElectronics and Farnell, which focused on some of the hottest issues: Energy efficiency, industrial applications for LEDs, power connectors, inverters and technologies for solar energy.
The afternoon was structured in two parallel parts: on one side the Workshops held by EBVElektronik, Metasystem, Nadlec and Green House Energy; on the other side the Business to Business meetings, where 30 Italian companies met over 230 Tunisian companies and operators.
High satisfaction among all the participants and the promoters of the event and enthusiasm expressed by both the Tunisian associations and Italian institutions who have already launched the next edition in 2011. Mass media attention has also been high: the forum has been on the news in local TVs and in the titles of Tunisian newspapers.
The event has been promoted by
